Blue Rare: Blue Rare Steakhouse and Rum Bay is one of Barbados' most unique character restaurants, bringing a fresh new flavor to trendy 1st Street in old Holetown. A good, solid steakhouse with a touch of contemporary Barbados in its design, this restaurant promises to serve up USDA registered prime steaks, aged to exacting standards, cooked to perfection, and served sizzling, giving Blue Rare that truly distinctive edge. Like all finer steakhouses, there are also lots of other non-steak entrees to choose from. Blue Rare prides itself in being able to provide the island and all its visitors with the highest quality steaks, brought in from the U.S. Not only are our standards for our beef high; one can also enjoy the finest New Zealand Lamb or Sushi Grade Tuna. Already, our clam chowder has become renowned island-wide. While enjoying some of the finest food the island has to offer, you may find yourself charmed by the owner, Paola Garm. Originally an interior designer and furniture store owner, based in Vancouver, where she has helped bring change and European fashion to the homes of both local and international clients. Fortunately for Barbados, she left Canada fresh with ideas for her new venture Blue Rare and upon bringing her vision to create the best steakhouse on island to life; she has truly brought a wonderful new flavor to the restaurant industry of Barbados.
