Barbados Dining - East

East Coast

Round House: This early 19th century landmark, with its breathtaking views, fresh ocean breezes and pounding surf, is not just a beautiful place. Owners Robert and Gail Manley are constantly ensuring that their delicious, wholesome fare is first rate with the freshest ingredients. Their flying fish pate is famous. Baked brie in a rum nut sauce and a nice bottle of wine are also a good idea. The bar features Mount Gay Rum along with over 70 rums from around the world. Dinner on a moonlit night is unforgettable and well worth the 1/2 hour ride. Reservations are recommended for dinner and Sunday lunch.

Atlantis Restaurant: The hotel's new management have tried to create a physical ambiance in its public areas to complement the natural environment and a cuisine to be proud of, for at Atlantis, cooking is as simple as A B C - All Bajan Cuisine - the Atlantis' culinary theme. The buffets offer the widest array of Bajan food you will find anywhere in Barbados, and their daily menus are a wonderful blend of traditional dishes prepared with contemporary style and new Bajan cuisine. The 120-seat restaurant is an institution in Barbados, where, particularly on Sundays, many Bajans, from Prime Ministers to office workers, have made the journey to this one place which has remained faithful to the island's culinary heritage.
