St. Lawrence Gap
“The Gap”, as it is referred to by the locals, is a long street with a multitude of restaurants, bars, and small shops/vendors that is great for anyone looking to get a feel for the Barbados nightlife. This is the place you are guaranteed to find a party, and by nightfall the place becomes busy and full of people looking to have a good time. Have your cab driver drop you off at one end and walk the street to the other end. Along the way, stop at the restaurants and read the menus located outside to find exactly what you are looking for. Most of the bars are open air... have a seat at the railing, enjoy a drink and soak up the atmosphere while people watching. Be careful walking along the road as it is very narrow and winding, with cars and taxis making their way through the crowds. Casual attire is appropriate for most places, no swimsuits or shirtless men, but shorts are the norm.
